Missing Score Sheets

The following game score sheets haven not been submitted to Missouri Hockey.  The home team is responsible for providing envelopes and insuring the game sheet.  Please send them to the Missorui Hockey office.

Missouri Hockey District Representative Playoff Rules
(AA Champions vs. Central States)
 
The following rules are in addition to the YD Rules and Regulations for the purposes of facilitating the Missouri Hockey Youth Division Playoffs. Games participants are the AA champion and Central States representative.
 
The Missouri Hockey Youth Division representative will be determined by a 2 game series with a 3rd mini game, if required. 
 
Home team for the 2nd game will be the home team for the mini-game.
  
Bantam and Pee Wee are 12-minute stop time periods with the exception of the mini-game
 
Midgets are 15-minute stop time periods with the exception of the mini-game
 
No clock curfew for games 1 and 2. Games are to be played until conclusion and the game clock will not be reset to 2 minutes.
One time out per team per game.  Each team gets one time out during the mini-game
 
Prior to the beginning of game 2, coaches will list 5 players and 2 alternates in the order the players will shoot in the event a shootout is warranted to break a tied score. Players will be listed on the back of the top (white copy) of the score sheet.
 
If at the end of the second game, the following situation exists:
 
1.      A team wins both games then they are the Missouri Hockey Youth Division District representative
2.      Win one and tie then they are the Missouri Hockey Youth Division District representative
3.      Win one and lose one or both games end in a tie then a mini-game will be played immediately following game 2:
 
Mini-game rules and procedures:
 
Mini-game will consist of two 10 minute sudden death periods.
 
Prior to the beginning of game 2, coaches should have listed 5 players and 2 alternates in the order the players will shoot in the event a shootout is warranted to break a tied score. Players will be listed on the back of the top (white copy) of the score sheet.
 
First 10 minute period:
 
1.       2 minute break
2.       Ice will not be cleaned
3.      10 minute stop time sudden death overtime period, first goal scored wins the game
4.       We do not change ends or change benches
 
Second 10 minute period, if required:
 
1.       If no score at the end of the first 10 minute period
2.       2 minute break
3.       Change ends but not benches
4.       10 minute stop time sudden death overtime period, first goal scored wins the game 
        
Mini-game overtime
 
If neither team scores in either period of the sudden death mini game, the following procedure applies:
 
1.      Three (3) player shootout will take place
2.       Home team shall have their choice as to which team shall shoot first. 
3.      The first three (3) different players (in the order previously listed) will rotate going in on goal. All three players will have an opportunity to shoot. 
4.      Players in the penalty box at the expiration of the mini-game for any infraction other than two (2) minute penalties are ineligible for the shootout. The first alternate player on the list will shoot for the penalized player.
 
At the conclusion of the three (3) player shootout round, if the score is still tied the following procedure applies
 
1.       Sudden death shootout will take place
2.       Teams continue to shoot in same order as the 3 player shootout
3.       Player 4 from each team will shoot first followed by player 5 (if needed
4.       Players 1 thru 3 from a team may not shoot again until players 4 and 5 on the teams list have shot. 
5.       If any team scores a goal in the sudden death shootout round in which the opposing team fails to score a goal, play ends and the scoring team wins, (e.g., Shooter one for Visiting team does not score a goal and shooter one for Home team scores a goal. Play ends at that point, before any other shooters shoot, and Home team wins). When all 5 players on both teams have shot, each  team starts over in the same 5 players in the order the team shot during the first round of the shootout.
 
Mini-game Penalties
 
1.       The penalties from Game 2 do not carry over into Game 3.
2.       Game misconducts and/or match penalties do carry over to Game 3.
3.       All overtime periods are considered to be part of Game 3 (mini game) any penalties in game 3 do carry over into any overtime period associated with game three.
 
 
Missouri Hockey AA League Champion Tie Breakers
 
If the Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget Minor or Midget Major Missouri Hockey AA league standings result in a tie for the league champion (1st place), the league champion shall be determined by playing a one game playoff. The following shall apply:
 
  1. The game must be played prior to the End of Season tournament
  2. Clock runs in the first period.
  3. When there are five (5) minutes left in the regulation game time, the time clock is dropped to two (2) minutes of stop time
  4. If the score is tied at the end of regulation time
    1. Prior to the beginning of the game, coaches will list all players in the order the players will shoot in the event a shootout is warranted to break a tied score. Players will be listed on the back of the top (white copy) of the score sheet.
    2. A one-minute intermission will be put on the clock and teams will remain on/near their bench.
    3. The teams will then play an additional stop time overtime period of not more than four (4) minutes, with the team scoring first declared the winner. The overtime period shall be played with each team at a numerical strength of four (4) skaters and one (1) goalkeeper. Penalties shall be assessed consistent with the rules in regulation time. See Overtime Notes below for further overtime penalty situations.
    4. If the score is tied at the end of overtime, a three (3) player shootout will take place. Players in the penalty box at the expiration of overtime play for any infraction other than two (2) minute penalties are ineligible for the shootout. The three (3) different players (in the order listed) will rotate going in on goal with the Visiting team shooting first. All three players will have an opportunity to shoot. 
    5. At the conclusion of the three (3) player shootout round, if the score is still tied, players will continue in a sudden death shootout in which no player from a team may shoot again until all available players on the player’s team have shot. The Visiting team shoots first. If any team scores a goal in the sudden death shootout round in which the opposing team fails to score a goal, play ends and the scoring team wins, (e.g., Shooter one for Visiting team does not score a goal and shooter one for Home team scores a goal. Play ends at that point, before any other shooters shoot, and Home team wins). When all players on one team have shot, that team starts over in the same order the team shot during the first round of the shootout, regardless of the number of shooters on the opposing team. 
 
Missouri Hockey District Tournament Representation
 
The Missouri Hockey Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget Minor and Midget Major representative to the Central District shall be determined by the following procedure:
 
 
Determining the Missouri Hockey League AA Representative to Play Central States
 
  1. If Missouri Hockey League AA champion and Missouri Hockey AA EOS champion are the same teams, they will play the Central States team. See Determining the Missouri Hockey District Representative below.   
 
  1. If league Missouri Hockey League AA champion and Missouri Hockey AA EOS champion are 2 different teams – the two teams will play a one game playoff to determine who plays the Central States representative.

Determining the Missouri Hockey District Representative
 
Missouri Hockey is allowed to send one team to the Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget Minor and Midget Major AA USA Hockey Central District Tournament. The Missouri Hockey representative will be determined by the process below.
 
Twin Bridges and Missouri Hockey are hosting the Central District Tournament this year. The Central District Tournament host club (Twin Bridges) and the Affiliate (Missouri Hockey) may enter a host team at the Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget Minor and Midget Major AA level. The host team will be determined by the process below.
 
The Missouri Hockey League AA representative will play the Central States representative in a 2 game playoff plus mini game if needed. 
 
A.     If the Central States representative wins, they are the Missouri Hockey representative to the Central District Tournament. 
1.      The Missouri Hockey host team will be determined as follows:
a)      If Twin Bridges finishes 1st thru 4th in the Missouri Hockey AA league, then Twin Bridges is the Missouri Hockey host team
b)      If Twin Bridges does not finish 1st thru 4th in the Missouri Hockey AA league, then the Missouri Hockey AA league 1st place team is the Missouri Hockey host team. (EOS does not apply and Central States teams are not eligible)
 
B.     If the Missouri Hockey AArepresentative wins, then they are the Missouri Hockey representative to the Central District Tournament.
1.      The Missouri Hockey host team will be determined as follows:
c)      If Twin Bridges finishes 1st thru 4th in the Missouri Hockey AA league, then Twin Bridges is the Missouri Hockey host team
d)      If Twin Bridges does not finish 1st thru 4th in the Missouri Hockey AA league, then the team finishing with the highest rankings in the Missouri Hockey AA league standings is the Missouri Hockey host team. (EOS does not apply and Central States teams are not eligible)
 
 
Overtime Notes
 
(Note 1) If a team is penalized in overtime, teams play 4 skaters against 3 skaters.

(Note 2) In overtime, if a team is penalized such that a two-man advantage is called for, then the offending team will remain at three (3) skaters while the non-offending team shall be permitted a fifth (5) skater.

(Note 3) At the first stoppage of play after the two-man advantage is no longer in effect, the numerical strength of the team will revert back to either a 4 on 4 or a 4 on 3 situation, as appropriate.

(Note 4) If there is a manpower advantage situation that carries over from regulation time to overtime, the above criteria will be applied at the start of the overtime. Accordingly, if at the end of regulation time the teams are 5 on 4, overtime begins at 4 on 3.

(Note 5) When the regulation game ends with the on-ice strength of 5 on 3, teams will commence the overtime with strength of 5 on 3. With the expiration of penalties, due to continuous action, player strength may get to 5 on 5 or 5 on 4. At the first stoppage of play following, player strength must be adjusted to 4 on 4 or 4 on 3.

(Note 6) If at the end of regulation time teams are 3 on 3, overtime starts 3 on 3. Once player strength reaches a 5 on 4 or 5 on 5, at the next stoppage player strength is adjusted to 4 on 3 or 4 on 4 as appropriate.

(Note 7) If at the end of regulation time teams are 4 on 4 with a player or players in the box serving non-coincidental penalties, overtime starts 4 on 4 and players exit the penalty box as normal to 5 on 4 or 5 on 5. At the first stoppage of play teams are adjusted to 4 on 3 or 4 on 4, as appropriate.

(Note 8) A team shall be allowed to pull its goaltender in favor of an additional skater in the overtime period consistent with the rules for pulling a goaltender during regulation time.
